ODR-mini 2 – The Next Generation
The internal bass-cut function originally included in the ODR-1BC is now available here as an external control directly on the top of the pedal. This allows for complete optimization of bass reproduction through stepless adjustment via a potentiometer. Nobel’s unique and well-known SPECTRUM tone control enables a wide range of EQ settings using just a single potentiometer. Here, the levels of both the low and high frequencies are adjusted simultaneously. At the 12 o’clock position, the frequencies remain virtually unchanged. However, when adjusting from the minimum to the maximum position, you’ll find countless variations in the frequency response, suitable for a wide range of musical tastes and styles.
This analog pedal can be powered by up to 18 volts DC. Different operating voltages affect the pedal’s dynamic response. At lower voltages, the overdrive enters saturation sooner, while at higher voltages, the signal remains more transparent.
If you play live a lot and have found your ideal setup, you can securely bolt your pedal to the board using the fold-out Mounty-Ps. Velcro fasteners are great when you’re playing at home, but they’re a nightmare when you’re performing and constantly transporting your gear. The Mounty-Ps are cleverly designed. There’s no chance your carefully arranged pedals will fall off or get scratched if your case takes a rough ride. By the way, Mounty-Ps are also great for protecting against theft by “lightfingers.”
